Characteristics

The Characteristis of the pygmy can best be covered by consulting the Breed Standard. Some characteristics are effected by the season and climate. For instance an animal in Tasmania in June may carry a cashmere under coat, while one in Queensland or northern WA may be slick.

Coat Length and Colour

Short, Traditional USA length long coats are all acceptable to the current standard. The Traditional Length will naturally become more common as we breed higher percentages. All colours are currently accepatable, with all patterns being inherently predictable.

Body Structure

Small, Cobby, height with the the Breed Standard. Head wide and dished. Legs thick and length within the acceptable range.
